Ed Cannon – Founder, Managing Director

Ed is the CMO’s CIO. 

Prior to founding New Madison Ave, Ed held Chief Information Officer positions for companies such as Sony, MTV and Grey Global Group. He was instrumental in creatively integrating business strategy, marketing and technology to drive new ways of doing business, especially in marketing and media functions. 

Innovation is Ed's specialty and he wants to keep New Madison Ave on the leading edge of marketing technology. He used artificial intelligence to try to predict the best weekend to open a film, database management systems to build data products that provide competitive advantage and omni-channel digital commerce platforms that redesigned service delivery platforms. In technology, Ed's belief is that today's luxury is tomorrow's necessity. Companies need to understand the disruptive capabilities of technology and how to use them to improve their customer experience and overall competitiveness. 

Ed’s talents are not limited to data, technology and business process optimization. He has extensive experience in marketing from an advertiser, media supply and agency perspective. He has designed award winning web sites and, at Grey Advertising was known as their “secret weapon”, as a member of the new business team that developed branding campaigns for Oracle and Unisys. 

Rob Kingston – Managing Director

Rob believes that marketing and technology should work together to genuinely change the way people view possibilities.

With over 20 years in advertising and integrated communications management before joining us, Rob has spent the past 6 years at New Madison Ave applying his considerable marketing expertise, holistic strategic vision and technology know-how to translate strategy into data and technology enabled business solutions. Rob oversees client engagement and project management activities.

Rob has a proven record in delivering broad based integrated communications campaigns for leading brands like AT&T, Oracle, Unisys, Toyota, BellSouth and Pfizer. He delivers a unique perspective that bridges the gap between IT and marketing that he draws on to deliver revenue generating programs, business process improvements and flawless execution of complex projects and initiatives for our clients. 

A collaborative leader and strategic thinker, Rob sees the big picture while anticipating risks and maintaining visibility into the impact of tactics on a business overall. He is skilled at leading complex projects and is a forceful advocate for sponsors and stakeholders, gaining the respect of clients for his knowledge of their business, concern for their issues and his ability to apply key learnings to address current challenges.

Michael F. Prebenda – Managing Director

Mike is a classically trained CMO/brand marketer with strong focus on digital experience design.  He developed marketing and operational expertise over 25 years in domestic and global direct-to-consumer enterprises, both in financial services and healthcare. 

Mike has spent the last 10 years driving digital transformation in a variety of complex, large-scale organizations. His areas of expertise include the development of profitable digital customer experiences, mobile, driving step-change improvements in consumer marketing ROI, identifying new innovation in traditional stagnant industries, and orchestrating digital transformation in organizations that are resistant to this market dynamic.  

Most recently, he was the CMO/Head of User Experience design for Credit Suisse Digital Private Bank.  Prior to that he introduced medcohealthstore.com, a highly personalized eRetail health products store and HSBC Direct, their internet bank.  Mike was the General Manager for Novartis OTC in Latin America, ran the Companion Animal division of Merial, a Aventis/Merck animal health company, and spent his early years in marketing at J&J.

Don Castle - Managing Director

Don Castle is currently a partner in the consulting firm New Madison Ave, where he specializes in advising CEO’s and boards of directors on the opportunities and risks presented by Digital Technologies, and in helping chief marketing officers to use big data to enhance brand strength and revenue.   He is also an Executive Fellow at the Center for Digital Strategies at Dartmouth College’s Tuck School of Business, where he is researching use of big data, board of director digital education, and the use of digital in humanitarian efforts.

Before New Madison Ave, Don held CIO positions at Johnson & Johnson, first for Ethicon, Inc. a manufacturer of surgical devices, then as Group CIO for J&J’s six global medical device companies.  He also was CIO, then President of the Life Science Services at SGS North America, and Chief Information Officer for Nabisco International.

Don loves to empower people to connect technology to the operation to achieve important, measurable results.   His favorite challenge is developing an information technology function into a collaborative group that gets things done, delivers strategic results, and supports thought leaders.  And he has accomplished this on a global level.  He recognizes the need for organizations to support both traditional applications, as well as new emerging technology.  

Don serves on the Corporate Collaboration Council for the Thayer School’s MEM (Masters of Engineering Management) degree, and is a Board Member and immediate past Board Chair of Inroads NY/NJ a nonprofit that helps underserved college students successfully enter the workforce through training, coaching and internships.
